My fixation with bold AW12 eyeliners continues with a step by step guide to the beautiful and completely wearable Lanvin flick. It might look hard to do, but you have to apply it quickly and then tidy up afterwards if you need to…have some q-tips and eye makeup remover to hand! The shape is an elongated flick, with a slightly curved inner eye, your entire lid should be jet black.

Step 1

As always start with a concealed under-eye and groomed brows, for now don’t apply any mascara. Using Bobbi Brown’s Longwear Gel eyeliner in black and MAC 211 brush start to apply a liner across the lash liner. The below line looks quite thick but I’ve done it on stages. Make sure you take the liner right into you crease, so the entire of your lid is covered. Using your bottom lashes as a guideline, create a flick going upwards towards your temples. Be brave and make it a large flick!

Step 2

From the outer line of the flick, bring it straight across towards the lid to join up the two sections. Fill in any parts of the shape, so the colour in dense black. If you wobble or it’s not straight use the a q-tip dipped in remover to clean the edge. Give the inner corner of the eye, near the tear duct, a slightly curved shape, it shouldnt’ be pointy.

Step 3

Using MAC 239 brush pat some black eyeshadow on top of the liner. When it comes to the edges blend softly so that all lines are a little soft and not hard. It’s up to you, if you want to add mascara, if you do I would recommend not curling the lashes, that way the shape of the eye is kept clean.
