Oh this is my favourite makeup look for AW12! It may look natural and barely there, but it’s just so beautifully applied with the perfect colours and products. As you can guess this is a very wearable look, that for me is basic beauty. Along with all the makeup trends of strong colours, eyeliners and brows there were quite a few big fashion houses that exemplified this a nude look. While the others showed perfected or paled out skin, none have done it quite so beautifully as Dior. Pat McGrath created the look based on the collection’s minimal vibe. A hint of gold shimmer is applied to the cheek bones to give dimension and glow. The most dramatic aspect of the eyes is the lashings of mascara, everything else is pared down. A peach hue of eye shadow is blended softly into the sockets of the models eyes, to give definition and warmth. This is complimented with the light tone on the eye lids. Lips are kept natural and brows are groomed and defined…simple beauty perfection!
